Public Hearing

1. 2 Land Sale: Portion of right-of-way adjacent to 177 Glenwood Ave to Catholic Charities (2018-01431)

Passage of Resolution approving the sale of the property adjacent to 177 Glenwood Ave to Catholic Charities, or a related entity, for $40,000.

  1. 3 2019 Street Resurfacing Program: Designation, cost estimate, and setting public hearings (2019-00041)

    1. Passage of Resolution designating the location and improvements proposed for the 2019 Street Resurfacing Program, Special Improvement of Existing Streets No. 2316 (CPV1956).

    2. Adopting report receiving the cost estimate of $7,431,263 and directing the preparation of proposed special assessments against the list of benefited properties and setting the public hearings as follows:

      1. Feb 19, 2019, for 19th, 20th Ave S, 4th St S.
      2. Feb 19, 2019, for King Field Residential.
      3. March 5, 2019, for Grand Street NE.
      4. March 5, 2019, for Sanford Residential.
      5. March 19, 2019, for Crystal Lake Residential.
      6. March 19, 2019, for Monroe St NE.
      7. April 9, 2019, for Pennhurst Residential.
      8. April 23, 2019, for Evergreen Dr.
  2. 4 Contract with CNA Consulting Engineers for plans, specifications, and services for the construction of the Central City Parallel Storm Tunnel (2019-00032)

    Authorizing a contract with CNA Consulting Engineers, in the amount of $2,825,121, for designing and producing construction plans and specifications for the construction of the Central City Parallel Storm Tunnel.

  3. 5 Contract amendment with Fer-Pal Construction USA, LLC for structural lining of water mains (2019-00033)

    Authorizing an increase to Contract C-44152 with Fer-Pal Construction USA, LLC, in the amount of $927,250.18, for a total amount not to exceed $2,079,879.18, and extending the contract through Dec 31, 2019, for the structural lining of water mains.

  4. 6 Contract amendment with Progressive Rail, Inc. for 61st St W Street Reconstruction Project (2019-00034)

    Authorizing an increase to Contract No. C-43876 with Progressive Rail, Inc., in the amount of $5,700, for a total amount not to exceed $162,300, to complete additional work related to adjustments to quantities for the 61st St W Street Reconstruction Project No. 2288 (CPV103).

  5. 7 Contract amendment with Pete's Water & Sewer for Girard Ave South Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project (2019-00035)

     Authorizing an increase to Contract No. C-44009 with Pete's Water & Sewer, in the amount of $37,799.85, for a total amount not to exceed $368,629.45, for additional work performed as part of the Girard Ave S Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project (OP No. 8568).

  6. 8 Contract amendment with Veit & Company, Inc. for Upton, Vincent, and 51st Ave N Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project (2019-00036)

    Authorizing an increase to Contract No. C-44010 with Veit & Company Inc., in the amount of $56,395.76, for a total amount not to exceed $667,467.77, for additional work performed as part of the Upton, Vincent, and 51st Ave N Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project (OP No. 8564).

  7. 9 Contract amendment with NAC Mechanical for Pump Station No. 6 Boilers (2019-00038)

    Authorizing an increase to Contract C-44048 with NAC Mechanical and Electrical Services, in the amount of $25,605, for a total of $259,605, for the addition of three new control systems for Pump Station No. 6 Boilers.

  8. 10 Contract amendment with PCI Roads, LLC for gate valve vault repair and replacement (2019-00039)

    Authorizing an increase to Contract C-43728 with PCI Roads LLC, in the amount of $47,766.64, for a new contract total of $856,766.64, for additional work for gate valve vault repair and replacement including new manholes and sewer line replacement.

  9. 11 Contract amendment with Egan Company for Parking Ramp Camera Surveillance Project (2019-00040)

    Authorizing an increase to Contract No. C-43727 with Egan Company, in the amount of $84,970.09, for a total amount not to exceed $878,796.09, for installing and relocating cameras and associated camera equipment in 13 city-owned parking ramps and the ABC parking ramps (owned by the Minnesota Department of Transportation).

  10. 12 Contract amendment with Yerigan Construction Company for Nicollet Mall art restoration (2019-00007)

    Authorizing an increase to Contract No. C-42507 with Yerigan Construction Company, in the amount of $33,865, for a new not-to-exceed total of $441,952, for art restoration and reinstallation on Nicollet Mall.

  11. 13 Contract amendment with Formations Studio for Nicollet Mall art (2019-00009)

    Authorizing an amendment to Contract No. C-40238 with Formations Studio in the amount of $2,500, for a revised contract total of $255,800, for additional services associated with the Nimbus public art project on Nicollet Mall, and extending the contract to Dec 31, 2019, to cover the warranty period.

  12. 14 Acquisition of property for the St. Anthony Parkway Bridge Project (2019-00057)

    Passage of Resolution authorizing a fee purchase agreement with Ellis Properties, LLP in the amount of $55,000 for 3,498 square feet of real estate at 3147 California St NE for the St. Anthony Parkway Bridge Project.

  13. 15 Hennepin County’s Draft Mobility 2040 Plan: Submission of City comments (2019-00042)

    Approving City of Minneapolis comments on Hennepin County's Draft Mobility 2040 Plan, and directing the submittal of the comments to Hennepin County.

  14. 16 METRO Green Line Extension (Southwest Light Rail): Watermain easement with the Burlington Northern-Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad (2019-00045)

    Authorizing execution of a watermain easement agreement with the Burlington Northern-Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad for the METRO Green Line Extension (Southwest Light Rail).

  15. 17 NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four Large Block Event Permit around U.S. Bank Stadium: April 5-8, 2019 (2019-00053)

    Approving application of SMG/U.S. Bank Stadium for a large block event to be set up and held April 5-8, 2019, and to operate outside the hours permitted under Minneapolis Code of Ordinances, Title 17, Section 455.35c1.

  16. 18 NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four Large Block Event Permit on Nicollet Mall: April 5-8, 2019 (2019-00052)

    Approving application of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for a large block event to allow activations related to the 2019 NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four (Final Four) on Nicollet Mall to be held April 5-8, 2019, and to operate outside the hours permitted under Title 17, Section 455.35(c)(1) of Minneapolis Code of Ordinances.

  17. 19 Hoyer Heights (Waite Park) Residential Street Reconstruction Project: Project layout (2019-00048)

    1. Approving the layout for the Hoyer Heights Residential Street Reconstruction Project for the reconstruction of several streets in the Waite Park Neighborhood.

    2. Authorizing negotiation with private property owners to acquire easements and additional right-of-way, if necessary, for the project.

  18. 20 Temporary Easements and/or Right-of-Entry Agreements for Hoyer Heights Neighborhood Sanitary Reconstruction Project (2019-00047)

    Authorizing Temporary (Construction) Easements and/or Right-of-Entry (ROE) Agreements for Hoyer Heights Neighborhood Sanitary Reconstruction Project.

  19. 21 Bid for Minneapolis Parking, Integrated Video Management System (2019-00019)

    Accepting the low bid of Affinitech, Inc., submitted on Official Publication No. 8639 in the amount of $1,172,388, to provide all materials, labor, equipment, and incidentals for the construction of the Minneapolis Parking, Integrated Video Management System for the Public Works Department, and authorizing a contract for the project, all in accordance with City specifications.
