Public Hearing

  1. 2 4th St SE (25th Ave SE to 29th Ave SE) Reconstruction and Street Lighting: Project approval, assessment, and areaway abandonment (2017-00073)
    1. Passage of Resolution ordering the work to proceed and adopting special assessments in the amount of $450,161.25 for the 4th St SE Street Reconstruction Project, Special Improvement of Existing Street No. 2286 (CPV094).

    2. Passage of Resolution requesting the Board of Estimate and Taxation authorize the City’s issuance and sale of assessment bonds in the amount of $450,160 for the reconstruction component of the project.

    3. Passage of Resolution ordering the work to proceed and adopting special assessments in the amount of $113,029.86 for the 4th St SE Street Lighting Project, Special Improvement of Existing Street No. 2286L (CPV094).

    4. Passage of Resolution requesting the Board of Estimate and Taxation authorize the City’s issuance and sale of assessment bonds in the amount of $113,030 for the street lighting component of the project.

    5. Passage of Resolution ordering the abandonment and removal of areaways located in the public right-of-way in conflict with the project.

    1. Passage of Resolution ordering the work to proceed and adopting special assessments in the amount of $294,403.29 for the 4th St SE Street Reconstruction Project, Special Improvement of Existing Street No. 2996 (CPV0754th).

    2. Passage of Resolution requesting the Board of Estimate and Taxation authorize the City’s issuance and sale of assessment bonds in the amount of $294,400 for the reconstruction component of the project.

    3. Passage of Resolution ordering the work to proceed and adopting special assessments in the amount of $95,000 for the 4th St SE Street Lighting Project, Special Improvement of Existing Street No. 2996L (CPV0754th).

    4. Passage of Resolution requesting the Board of Estimate and Taxation authorize the City’s issuance and sale of assessment bonds in the amount of $95,000 for the street lighting component of the project.

    5. Passage of Resolution ordering the abandonment and removal of areaways located in the public right-of-way in conflict with the project.

  3. 4 18th Ave NE (Monroe St NE to Johnson St NE) Reconstruction: Project approval, assessment, and areaway abandonment (2017-00075)
    1. Passage of Resolution ordering the work to proceed and adopting special assessments in the amount of $648,217.10 for the 18th Ave NE Street Reconstruction Project, Special Improvement of Existing Street No. 6750 (CPV080).

    2. Passage of Resolution requesting the Board of Estimate and Taxation authorize the City’s issuance and sale of assessment bonds in the amount of $648,220 for the project.

    3. Passage of Resolution ordering the abandonment and removal of areaways located in the public right-of-way in conflict with the project.

  1. 5 Storm sewer cleaning contract amendment with Vortech Hydro Vac, Inc. (2017-00076)

    Authorizing Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. C-41347 (OP 8304) with Vortech Hydro Vac, Inc. for storm sewer cleaning, increasing the contract by $43,023.10, for a revised contract total of $135,090.48, for construction change orders through March 31, 2017.

  2. 6 Ready mix concrete contract amendment with Cemstone Products Company (2017-00077)

    Authorizing Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. C-40873 (OP No. 8232) with Cemstone Products Company for ready mix concrete, increasing the contract by $175,000, for a revised contract total of $1,432,857.50, and extending the contract end date to April 30, 2017.

  3. 7 2017 Street Resurfacing Program: Project designation and setting public hearings (2017-00078)
    1. Passage of Resolution designating the location and improvements proposed to be made in the 2017 Street Resurfacing Program, Special Improvement of Existing Street No. 9964 (CPV1756).

    2. Adopting report receiving the cost estimate of $6,715,861, directing the preparation of proposed special assessments against the list of benefited properties, and setting public hearings as follows:

      1. Feb. 28, 2017:  Lakewood and Harriet Area Residential, Project No. 9964A.
      2. March 14, 2017:  38th St E, Project No. 9964B.
      3. March 14, 2017:  7th St S and 13th Ave S, Project No. 9964C.
      4. March 14, 2017:   Washington St NE, Project No. 9964D.
      5. April 18, 2017:  North and South Sheridan Area Residential, Project No. 9964E.
      6. May 2, 2017:  South Hay Area, Project No. 9964F.
      7. May 2, 2017:  8th St SE, Project No. 9964G.
  4. 8 Street easement deed from Hennepin County for portion of 2408 Victory Memorial Dr (2017-00079)

    Authorizing the acceptance of a street easement deed from Hennepin County over a portion of the property located at 2408 Victory Memorial Dr.

  5. 9 Great Northern Winter Dinner Block Event (2017-00080)

    Approving application for a Block Event Permit to allow the Great Northern Winter Dinner to be held on Jan. 30, 2017, to operate outside the hours permitted under Minneapolis Code of Ordinances, Section 455.35(c)(1).

  6. 10 Impound Lot auction services contract with Copart (2017-00081)

    Authorizing negotiation of an agreement with Copart to provide off-site auction services for the Impound Lot.

  7. 11 Impound Lot towing contracts (2017-00082)

    Authorizing termination of Contract No. C-38719 with Wrecker Services, Inc. and execution of an agreement with Statewide Towing for District A, Zone 3 public towing services.

  8. 12 Bid for Columbia Heights Filtration Plant Partial Roofing Project (2017-00083)

    Accepting low bid of JG Hause Construction, Inc. (OP No. 8363) in the amount of $154,500 to furnish and deliver all labor, materials, and incidentals necessary for the Columbia Heights Filtration Plant Partial Roofing Project, and authorizing a contract for the project.

  9. 13 Bid for upgrading programmable logic controller (2017-00084)

    Accepting sole bid of Control, Inc. (OP No. 8375) in the amount of $98,700 to provide all materials, labor, equipment, and incidentals necessary for upgrading the PS5 programmable logic controller, and authorizing a contract for the service.

  10. 14 Downtown Business Improvement Special Service District: Code amendment to petitioning requirement (2016-01670)

    Setting a public hearing for Jan. 31, 2017, to consider the subject matter of an ordinance amending Title 17, Chapter 465 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Streets and Sidewalks: Downtown Business Improvement Special Service District, amending petitioning requirement to match state statute.
