The action established a Public Works Parking Services Fee and Rate Schedule that combines fees for associated parking related services into one document. Generally all of the fees listed are just being republished here from past council actions. One notable change is setting a flat fee for hooding parking meters vs. the current variable fee based on location. This was based off the average fee for hooding meters in 2019 and was designed to be revenue neutral. Another notable change is increasing several categories of the maximum council approved rates for Municipal off-street parking facilities. Staff is authorized to set rates below the existing maximum approved rates based on market conditions (last set in 2016). This council action does not increase the rates currently being charged to customers. It sets a new authorized maximum rate for the categories outlined in the schedule.
