Public Hearing

1. 2 Snow and ice removal from public sidewalk assessments (2022-00571)

Passage of Resolution adopting and levying the assessments and adopting the assessment roll for the charges for snow and ice removal from public sidewalks for the 2021-2022 winter season on the list of properties dated June 30, 2022, as on file with the City Engineer’s Special Assessment Office.

Action Taken: Approved

Consent

  1. 3 Mississippi Watershed Management Organization grant for green stormwater infrastructure and drainage improvements as part of the Concrete Pavement Rehabilitation Program (2022-00738)

    1. Accepting a grant from the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization (MWMO), in the amount of $210,000, to construct green stormwater infrastructure, drainage improvements, and provide five years of vegetation care as part of the 2022 Concrete Rehabilitation Program Project along Minnehaha Ave S.

    2. Authorizing an agreement with the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization for the activities and requirements of the grant.

    3. Passage of Resolution approving appropriation of funds to the Public Works Department.

  2. 4 Cooperative agreement with Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority for the Fremont Ave S Bridge over the Midtown Greenway (2022-00739)

    Authorizing a cooperative agreement with the Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority for the replacement of the Fremont Ave S Bridge over the Midtown Greenway.

  3. 5 Hennepin Ave and 1st Ave NE Roadway Improvement Project: Layout approval and easements (2022-00740)

    1. Approving the layout for the Hennepin Ave and 1st Ave NE Roadway Improvement Project, between Main St SE and 8th St SE.

    2. Authorizing negotiation with private property owners to acquire easements and additional right-of-way, if necessary, for the project.

    Action Taken: Approved
  4. 6 Downtown Business Improvement Special Service District: 2023 proposed services and service charges (2022-00743)

    1. Setting a public hearing for Sept 15, 2022, to consider the proposed 2023 services and charges for the Downtown Business Improvement Special Service District.

      Action Taken: Public hearing set for Sep 15, 2022

    2. Passage of Resolution authorizing the Downtown Business Improvement Special Service District to use budget reserves for the 2023 operating plan and budget.

      Action Taken: Approved
  5. 7 Special Service Districts (428A Districts): 2023 proposed services and service charges (2022-00744)

    Setting a public hearing for Sept 15, 2022, to consider the proposed 2023 services and service charges for the 50th and France, 54th & Lyndale, Bloomington-Lake, Chicago-Lake, East Lake, Lyndale-Lake, and West Broadway Improvement Special Service Districts (428A Districts).

    Action Taken: Public hearing set for Sep 15, 2022
  6. 8 Downtown Minneapolis Street Art Festival Large Block Event Permit: August 13 and 14, 2022 (2022-00745)

    Approving the application submitted by the Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District for a large block event permit to allow the Downtown Minneapolis Street Art Festival to be held Aug 13 and 14, 2022, on Nicollet Mall between 6th St S and 8th St S, and to operate outside the hours permitted under Minneapolis Code of Ordinances, Section 455.35(c)(1).

    Action Taken: Approved
  7. 9 Major League Soccer All-Star Concert Large Block Event Permit: Aug 8, 2022 (2022-00748)

    Approving the application submitted by Major League Soccer for a large block event permit to allow the All-Start Concert to be held Aug 8, 2022, on Portland Ave S between 4th St S and 5th St S, and to operate outside the hours permitted under Minneapolis Code of Ordinances, Section 455.35(c)(1).

    Action Taken: Approved

9. 10 Hennepin Ave S Street Reconstruction Project: Layout approval, easements, repealing an associated one-way street, and parking restrictions (2022-00513)

Passage of Resolution approving the Hennepin Avenue South reconstruction layout.

Action Taken: Approved
