1. 2 Gas franchise extension ordinance (2024-01213)

Passage of Ordinance amending Appendix C-1 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to the CenterPoint Energy Minnesota Gas, Gas Franchise, extending the franchise though April 17, 2025.

  1. 3 Grant application to the Minnesota Department of Transportation for the 2024 Safe Routes to School Infrastructure Program (2024-01329)

    Passage of Resolution to apply for a Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) Safe Routes to School (SRTS) infrastructure grant for the South-Folwell Safe Routes to School project.

    Action Taken: Approved
  2. 4 Grant application to Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) for the 2025 Private Property Inflow and Infiltration Grant Program (2024-01325)
    Authorizing the application for the grant program from the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) to receive funding for homeowners to partially pay for sewer lateral repairs.
    Action Taken: Approved
  3. 5 2025 Street Resurfacing Program: Designation, cost estimate and setting public hearings (2024-01345)

    1. Passage of Resolution designating the location and improvements proposed for the 2025 Street Resurfacing Program, Special Improvement of Existing Street Projects No. 2372 (CPV05625).

    2. Adopting report receiving the cost estimate of $9,116,212 and directing the preparation of proposed special assessments against the list of benefited properties and setting the public hearings as follows:

      1. February 20, 2025, for Farview North Residential.
      2. March 6, 2025, for Pennhurst South Residential.
      3. March 20, 2025, for 24th St E.

  4. 6 Capital Improvement Program appropriation and revenue adjustment (2024-01328)

    Passage of Resolution amending the Capital Improvement Appropriation Resolution by allocating State Funds appropriation and increasing revenue in the amount of $147,183 for the Asphalt Pavement Resurfacing Program (PV056).

    Action Taken: Approved
  5. 7 Pillsbury Avenue Bridge Project: Concept layout approval and easements (2024-01326)

    1. Approving the concept layout for the Pillsbury Avenue Bridge project over the Midtown Greenway.

    2. Authorizing negotiation with private property owners to acquire easements and additional right-of-way, if necessary, for the project.

  6. 8 Blue Line Light Rail Extension: Subordinate Funding Agreement (SFA) No. 1 (2024-01327)

    Authorizing Subordinate Funding Agreement (SFA) No. 1 with the Metropolitan Council, to reimburse the City a not-to-exceed amount of $461,987.05, for professional staff costs incurred by the Public Works Department in the areas of design and engineering coordination in conjunction with the METRO Blue Line Extension Project and the relocation of an Xcel Energy transmission line.

  7. 9 Water Distribution Improvements: Appropriation increase (2024-01341)

    Passage of Resolution amending the 2024 Capital Improvement Appropriation Resolution by increasing the appropriation for the Public Works Water Fund (CWT1224) by $4,500,000 for water distribution improvements.

  8. 10 Capital project closeouts with appropriation, bond reallocation, and revenue adjustments within the City's Capital Project and Enterprise Funds (2024-01347)

    Passage of Resolution amending the 2024 Capital improvement Appropriation Resolution authorizing closure and appropriation adjustments for capital projects and programs, as indicated on Schedules A-C, and reallocations and redistributions of excess revenues and bond proceeds to projects requiring additional funding.

    Receiving and filing a presentation regarding the implementation progress of the Climate Legacy Initiative (CLI), funded by the 2023 gas and electric franchise fee increases and associated city budget allocations for 2024.

  2. 14 38th Street and Chicago Avenue, George Floyd Square: Concept layout approval and easements (2024-01336)

    1. Approving the concept layout for the 38th Street and Chicago Avenue, George Floyd Square project.

    2. Authorizing negotiation with private property owners to acquire easements and additional right-of-way, if necessary, for the project.
