  1. 2 Liquor, Business and Gambling Licenses for Feb. 13, 2018 (2018-00106)

    Approving the Department of Licenses and Consumer Services Agenda recommendations granting applications for Liquor, Business and Gambling Licenses as recommended in the Licenses and Consumer Services Agenda for Feb. 13, 2018, subject to final inspection and compliance with all provisions of applicable codes and ordinances.

  2. 3 License Settlement Conference recommendations: Tony Jaros’ River Gardens, 2500 Marshall St NE, (Ward 1) held by Tony Jaros River Gardens, Inc, On Sale Liquor License, LIC79965 (2018-00107)

    Adopting the Business License Settlement Conference Agreement for Tony Jaros’ River Gardens, 2500 Marshall St NE, negotiated between the City of Minneapolis and Tony Jaros River Gardens, Inc, allowing the licensee to retain the On Sale Liquor License, subject to adherence with the conditions contained therein.

  3. 4 License Settlement Conference recommendations: Encore Karaoke & Sushi Lounge, 2111 E Franklin Ave, (Ward 6), held by Encore Entertainment Group, Inc, On Sale Liquor License, LIC78301 (2018-00116)

    Adopting the Business License Conference Settlement Agreement for Encore Karaoke & Sushi Lounge, 2111 E Franklin Ave, negotiated between the City of Minneapolis and Encore Entertainment Group, Inc, allowing the licensee to retain the On Sale Liquor License, subject to adherence with conditions contained therein.

  4. 5 Contract amendment with Hennepin County for cost sharing of Minnesota Family Investment Program Employment and Training services (2018-00108)

    Authorizing an increase to contract C-41984 with Hennepin County, in the amount of $95,000 for a total amount not to exceed $190,000, and an extension through Dec. 31, 2018, for Minnesota Family Investment Program Employment and Training Services.

  5. 6 Grant application to Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development for healthcare career pathways strategies (2018-00109)

    Authorizing the submittal of a grant application to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, in an amount up to $650,000 over a two-year period, to implement healthcare career pathways strategies.

  6. 7 Contract with Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development and the Minnesota High Tech Association for services to implement a survey of Information Technology industry employers (2018-00110)

    Authorizing a contract with Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development and the Minnesota High Tech Association, in the amount of $0, to implement a survey of Information Technology industry employers.

  7. 8 Contract with Northeast Metropolitan School District No. 916 to provide youth with accreditation for STEP-UP internships and elective summer classes. (2018-00112)

    1. Authorizing a contract with Northeast Metropolitan School District No. 916, in the amount of up to $600,000, at a rate of $220 per credit, to provide youth with accreditation for STEP-UP internships and elective summer classes, through Dec. 31, 2019.

      Action Taken: Approved and referred to WM meeting of Feb 20, 2018

    2. Passage of Resolution approving appropriation of funds to Community Planning & Economic Development.

  8. 9 Courtesy benches ordinance (2018-00136)

    Referring to staff the subject matter of an ordinance amending Title 13, Chapter 283 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Licenses and Business Regulations:  Courtesy Benches, amending regulations on the number and implementation of courtesy benches.

  9. 10 Consume and display permits for bottle clubs and taprooms ordinance (2018-00138)

    Referring to staff the subject matter of an ordinance amending Title 14 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Liquor and Beer, amending regulations related to consumption and display permits in bottle clubs and brewer taprooms:

    1. Chapter 362, Liquor Licenses.
    2. Chapter 372, Bottle Clubs.

  10. 11 Wine license class definitions and allowable entertainment ordinance (2018-00139)

    Referring to staff the subject matter of an ordinance amending Title 14, Chapter 363 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Liquor and Beer:  Wine Licenses, amending regulations related to license class definitions and allowable entertainment.

  11. 12 Massage and bodywork establishments ordinance (2018-00144)

    Referring to staff the subject matter of an ordinance amending Title 13, Chapter 286 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Licenses and Business Regulations:  Massage and Bodywork Establishments, amending provisions related to exceptions and definitions.
