Background Analysis
Health Department’s School Based Clinic (SBC) Mental Health Program requests permission to accept additional $30,000 of annual funding from Minneapolis Public School (MPS) through 6/30/2024 for a total of $90,000. This funding will partially fund 2.5 FTE of licensed mental health provider time at four SBCs to provide mental health services to adolescents attending those high schools. Mental health services include individualized diagnostic assessments, clinical treatment, consultation to school staff, care coordination, attending student IEP and support team meetings as well as participating in the School Based Mental Health interagency meetings.
