Background Analysis
Contract C-41292 was awarded to Rice Lake Construction Group in the amount of $41,628,500.00 in August, 2016, as the result of bid event OP # 8270. The project has included rehabilitation of the filters and ancillary systems at the Fridley Filter Plant, which was originally constructed in the 1920's.
The current request is to extend the time for completion of the construction and document submittal until July 1, 2025. Additional time was needed due to a repair and other corrections that needed to wait for warmer weather, and delays in receiving final documentation from suppliers and subcontractors.
