Background Analysis
Plaintiff Communities United Against Police Brutality alleges that the City violated state law in connection with its response to Plaintiff's requests under the Minnesota Data Practices Act. The parties have negotiated a proposed settlement of all alleged damages, attorneys’ fees and costs in the amount of $22,500 from Fund/Org 06900 1500100 145400. The City Attorney’s Office, Clerk's Office and MPD administration believe that the proposed settlement is in the best interests of the City and recommend approval by this Committee and the City Council.
