Background Analysis
The Minneapolis Code of Ordinances, Section 261.60, states, "prior to September 1 of each year, the appropriate committee of the city council shall conduct a public hearing to consider the adjustment of all license fees for the subsequent calendar year to reflect changes in administrative and enforcement costs in accordance with appropriate economic indicators as determined by the city council or committee." Staff is requesting a public hearing for the 2022 license fees on October 12th, 2021 at the Business, Inspections & Zoning Committee of the Minneapolis City Council.
