Background Analysis
***Pending full implementation of the recently passed government structure charter amendment, and any resulting changes to the City’s process for authorizing the following staff activities, this RCA is being submitted to Council under the City’s prior authorization process.***
Ti Zack Concrete, Inc. was awarded a contract in the amount of $237,447 for the Dight / Standish Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Pedestrian Ramp Improvements Project. These ramp upgrades are being completed as part of the Dight Standish Resurfacing Project.
Since the original contract award, additional work has been required for the ADA Pedestrian Ramp Improvements Project. Additional sidewalk removal and replacement was required in many of the ramp locations to provide a smooth transition from the existing sidewalk to the new ADA Pedestrian Ramp corner. This additional sidewalk work has increased the contract by $35,975. Total contract value will not exceed $273,422.
