Background Analysis
The Target Corporation is providing $15,000 in grant funding for the Police Department in support of the City and MPD’s desire to enhance Community Engagement and address youth violence. The funds will help support the position of Community Engagement Coordinator and related community and youth outreach, with emphasis on working with a diverse population addressing youth violence, community engagement, education, and policy.
This annual award to the Police Department is in the Department’s 2017 budget; there is no financial impact.
