The facility is City owned and operated in partnership with the Minneapolis Farmers Market. The Minneapolis Farmers Market is responsible for the operating costs. Once completed the expected useful life of the facility improvements is 20-50 years.
This project is viewed to be completed in partnership with redevelopment in this portion of the City. Timing of the redevelopment will likely be in parallel with the Metro Green Line (Southwest Light Rail) construction and the Royalston Station.
