This grant money will help property owners that are facing expensive sewer line repairs. And equity component utilizing the CDC's Social Vulnerability Index (SVI) will allow for certain property owners to receive a higher grant amount ($7,500 or $10,000). Funds will be available until depleted.

At this point no engagement has occurred ahead of applying for and accepting this grant.
Section 4: Analysis
The goals of this project would help reduce the cost to resident homeowners facing costly sewer line repairs. Areas of the city with higher Social Vulnerability Index (CDC created index) scores will be eligible for a higher amount of funding up to $10,000.

Property owners impacted will know at the time of the grant. Funding is expected to be depleted quickly. MCES will be sent reports and increasing funding in future years will be requested.
