Background Analysis
Public Works is reconstructing Hennepin Avenue from Washington Ave to 12th St. The project consists of replacing the existing pavement surface, which will include new pavement, sub-grade materials, curb, gutter, signage and striping, traffic signals, storm drains, driveway approaches, all sidewalks, and protected bikeway. This portion of the project is for the removal and replacement of the sanitary sewer under Hennepin Ave between Washington Ave and 5th St. This contract increase is in the amount of $71,974.15 and includes additional excavation and pavement restoration due to unforeseen conditions and utility conflicts in the amount of $68,495.00 and minor changes in quantities of $3,479.15.
