Funds from the grant are used to off-set ongoing operational costs incurred by the Solid Waste & Recycling Division of Public Works.
Budget impact amounts below are an estimate. Funding amounts are determined annually based on SCORE funding allocated to Hennepin County by the State of Minnesota and how many cities in the County apply for the various funding options offered in the Residential Waste Reduction & Recycling Funding Policy. Funding amounts are included in Solid Waste & Recycling's annual budget and forecasting proformas. The County Board will develop another Residential Waste Reduction and Recycling Funding Policy when the term of this Agreement expires.
