As a part of the 2023 Minnesota Session Laws, Chapter 68 - MN Laws, Article 1, Sec. 17, Subd. 14, $5,000,000 in general funds was provided to cities of the first class for construction of Americans with Disabilities Act accessible features. The City of Minneapolis' eligible share is $1,787,157, based on the Municipal State Aid formula, which will be administered by MnDOT's State-Aid office. These grant monies will be used to upgrade ADA Pedestrian Ramps at street intersections in the Fulton Residential resurfacing project.

This project will impact southwest Minneapolis, Fulton neighborhood, this neighborhood is: 0.5% Black, 88.6% white, 1.8% Asian, 2.9% Hispanic, 3.2% two or more races and 3% some other race. 12.9% of the occupied housing units are rented and 84.4% are owned. 3% are below the poverty level.

Use of this grant funding will be directed to the installation of American Disabilities Act (ADA) Pedestrian Ramp improvements.

The American Disabilities Act (ADA) Pedestrian Ramp improvements will be installed at all street intersections located in the project boundaries.

As a part of this MSA Grant Agreement and acceptance of these funds there are no plans to measure the impacts of this specific action over time.

The Fulton residential resurfacing projects which include ADA pedestrian ramp improvements will be completed by the end of 2026.
