Section 2: Data

The Green Fleet Policy will apply to all City vehicles which operate in all areas of the City. The policy will prioritize assigning electric or alternative fueled vehicles in areas of highest concern such as designated Green zones which typically have a higher percentage of BIPOC community members.

Data supports that many community members both BIPOC and white constituents are concerned about climate change and the City's goals to reduce GHG.

One source of data is the City Automatic Vehicle Management telematics. Most of the City’s fleet, other than emergency response vehicles, are equipped with AVM. Additional data could be gathered if all City vehicles were equipped with AVM.

Section 5: Evaluation
Impacts will be measured in the annual green fleet report.
